Privacy Policy

The Data Controller responsible for your personal data is Meshly Technologies Pvt. Ltd., India. Email: hello@atkinship.com. kin: is operated for users in India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

• Account Data: Phone number or sign-in identifier from a supported provider, and email where a provider shares it. Purpose: account creation, authentication and recovery.

• Profile Data: Display name, date of birth, gender, photos, bio, interests and match preferences you choose to add. Purpose: what other people see after a mutual wave, and matching quality.

• Coarse Location: Your location is transformed into a deliberately coarse area before it is used to place you at a Social Hub. Precise coordinates are used only to verify that you're inside a hub, then discarded immediately. They are never stored or shared.

• Radar Sessions: Which hub you went on air at, the channel, and when. Purpose: showing you to people at the same hub, hub activity levels, and anti-abuse protection.

• Waves, Matches & Chats: Waves you send and receive, matches, and message content between matched users. Purpose: delivering the core product.

• Subscription Data: Store transaction identifiers and subscription status for kin: Pro. Purpose: entitlement. Payment card details never touch our servers - the relevant app store processes all payments.

kin: is built so that misusing your location is impossible, not just prohibited. Your device sends a position only while the app is open; our servers immediately snap it to a coarse grid cell and discard the original. No other user - and no kin: client - ever receives a coordinate finer than that cell.

On the radar you appear as a rotating anonymous token that dies when your session ends. If you enable GeoSync (kin: Pro), hub geofences are evaluated on your device; kin: is notified only that you arrived at a hub, never of a route or path.

• Contract: account, profile, radar, waves, matches and chats - the service you asked us to provide.

• Consent: location access, notifications, and optional profile fields - each revocable in your device settings at any time.

• Legitimate interest: safety systems (blocking, reporting, anti-stalking protection) and aggregate, non-identifying service analytics.

• Amazon Web Services (Mumbai, ap-south-1): hosting and storage - your data stays in India.

• App stores and platform providers: sign-in, push notifications and subscription payments.

• Google Firebase: aggregate app analytics - never your location or messages.

Delete your account in the app and it is deactivated immediately: your profile disappears from every surface, your radar presence ends, and your sign-in is detached. A 30-day window lets you restore by signing back in; after it, remaining personal data is permanently removed. Radar presence is ephemeral by design - live positions expire within seconds of going off air.

You may access, correct, export or erase your personal data, and withdraw any consent, at any time - most of it directly in the app, or by writing to hello@atkinship.com. We respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

All traffic is encrypted in transit; data is encrypted at rest; access is limited and audited. No system is perfect - if a breach affects you, we will notify you as the law requires.

kin: is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account; underage accounts are removed when identified.
